Reagent Chemical & Research (“Reagent”) is an infrastructure-enabled specialty
logistics platform specializing in hydrochloric acid (“HCl”). Reagent is the #1 player in
the North American HCl market. The Company has extensive, purpose-built
infrastructure comprised of terminals, storage tanks, railcars, trailers, and pipelines.
Reagent serves as a critical intermediary between suppliers and customers through a
differentiated two-way value proposition. Suppliers primarily produce HCl as a
byproduct of other chemical manufacturing processes and rely on Reagent
infrastructure and contractual offtake to avoid operational bottlenecks and downtime.
On the demand side, Reagent supplies HCl to customers who use the chemical as a
critical input in water treatment and other industrial applications, where reliability and
continuity of supply are essential. Reagent enjoys longstanding relationships and
unique, exclusive contracts across both the suppliers and customers.
